Organic farming has become one of the fastest growing segments of US. agriculture. US. producers are turning to certified organic farming systems as a potential way to lower input costs, decrease reliance on nonrenewable resources, capture high-value markets and premium prices, and boost farm income. This is a trend we have recognized and responded to in our grower service areas as well.
Our agri-service divisions have always been well know for their ability to add value to conventional growers success. We are now making the investments required for them to do the same for the increasing numbers of organic growers we serve.
This investment begins with hiring personnel with strong organic crop knowledge and the ability to support organic grower needs throughout our agri-service divisions. In addition, we continue to invest in the product lines, specialized equipment and other resources required to enable us to fully respond to the needs of the growing number of organic farmers we now serve.
